Fluidda moderates workshop on GDPR during Outsourcing in Clinical Trials conference in Milan, May 15.

Esther Daemen, FLUIDDA’s  Quality and Training Officer and certified Data Protection Officer (DPO), will be representing us at the ‘Outsourcing in Clinical Trials’ Conference in Milan, May 14-15. She will be giving a presentation and hosting a discussion on the challenges related to the roll out of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to develop best practices moving forward.

Topics will include the need and role of a DPO, documentation and transparency requirements, the legal basis to choose for the processing of (sensitive) personal data and GDPR-related roles like controller and processor.

Emphasis will be on the exceptions to GDPR that are allowed for scientific purposes and how to make these work in real life.
