The effects of particle size in deposition projects – ERS 2019

During the ERS 2019 two posters were presented on the deposition of extrafine vs. non-extrafine formulations of different respiratory drugs in different inhalation devices.

Both studies were conducted with Functional Respiratory Imaging (FRI) technology, a very sensitive tool to track deposition in the lungs.

Benjamin Mignot, Lead Project Engineer at Fluidda , talks about the differences found between both formulations in amount and location of deposition of particles.
