At ERS 2019, Cedric van Holsbeke, Chief Technology Officer of Fluidda talks about Fluidda’s corporate responsibility project.
Laptops, previously used for patient training purposes and training of clinical sites, have been donated by Fluidda to an international social enterprise called Close The Gap.
Close the Gap (www.close-the-gap.org) aims to bridge the digital divide by offering high-quality, pre-owned computers to educational, medical and social projects in developing and emerging countries.
The laptops are now being used for educational purposes by children in developing countries. Since 2004, Close the Gap has supported over 5,000 projects in more than 50 countries all around the world.
In this way, we hope to be contributing to a world with more equal opportunities for all of its residents.
Fluidda develops respiratory solutions to detect lung diseases earlier, assists in the development of more effective drugs and facilitates the choice of optimal treatment. We also combine this with integrity and social and environmental responsibility.
