Effectiveness of a mobile HFCWO device for airway clearance

High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation (HFCWO) is a commonly used airway clearance technique for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients.

At ERS 2019 in Madrid, a poster was presented on this topic. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a newly developed mobile HFCWO device, with a standard non-mobile device as comparator. It was concluded that the mobile and non-mobile HFCWO devices were comparable in improving mucus transport in CF patients according to interpretation of Brody scores and Functional Respiratory Imaging (FRI) parameters.

This poster was presented at the ERS 2019 congress.
