ERS2022 – Digital lung sound characteristics related to airflow turbulence intensity

During the last ERS conference in Barcelona, Eline Lauwers, who recently obtained het PhD degree based on research partially conducted at Fluidda, presented a poster on her latest findings.

She investigated a new approach relating lung sounds to airflow turbulence intensity using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in cystic fibrosis patients.

Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease, characterized by an early onset of progressive lung disease.
