Fluidda’s FRI-activities are at “Full Speed” during this COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 crisis has had a tremendous impact on the initiation and progression of clinical research around the world and has slowed the development of new therapies and medical devices in respiratory medicine in particular.

Despite the shift in priorities in most hospitals these last few months, we are pleased to say that our imaging activities continue to move at full speed during the pandemic:

  • We are continuously undertaking initiatives in Covid-19 research to provide analyses for free to clinics around the world. Scans from over 1000 subjects have been analyzed with many more to come.
  • We have implemented additional measures to reduce physical contact and ensure safety during clinical site training and activation for clinical trials, and have expanded our services for remote site trainings.
  • So far this month, dozens of sites for patient inclusion have been activated in both the US and EU.
  • Our COVID-19 research has led to several publications in major journals. ( references)
